Get a glimpse into a different world with the 2010 Indian film “Soul of Sand” at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow afternoon in the University Library Auditorium.
The Global Lens Screening of “Soul of Sand” will last 98 minutes. The film is set in Delhi, India, and follows a dramatic turn of events where a watchman and his wife are trapped by their cruel landlord. When the landlord’s daughter decides to run from her arranged marriage with a lover from a lower social rank, the couple decides to help her.
This film displays the caste system and the growing economy in India, comparing the modern and more traditional ways of life.
