Senior guard Jesus Delgado was named Great West Conference Player of the Week Monday for his performance in the victory games against Eureka and Lamar last week.

The El Paso native averaged 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, helping the Broncs beat Eureka (92-64) Thursday and Lamar (75-70) Saturday.

Thursday night Delgado tied his season-high with 13 points against Eureka and later broke it against Lamar with 18 points. The same was done with field goals as the senior tied his career high with six Thursday, but broke it a few days later with seven.

During the Eureka match-up, Delgado also tied his career-high in steals with a season-high three. At Lamar’s game he hit a season-high four free-throws.
