Never too busy for the community

Hello Broncs,

I can’t believe it’s already November! Where has the time gone? Between class, work, meetings and everything else, where do we all find the time to relax? I know one thing is for sure, despite all of our busy schedules, UTPA Greeks have been devoting their time to community service projects and events.

On Halloween, Delta Zeta hosted their annual “Trick or Treat for Canned Goods” and collected over 300 cans for the RGV Food Bank with the help of Beta Xi Chi, Kappa Sigma and Tau Kappa Epsilon. The ladies of Sigma Lambda Gamma and the gentlemen of Omega Delta Phi also teamed up to collect canned goods and had great results.

Delta Psi Alpha, Delta Xi Nu and Eta Omega Tau hosted a awareness fair last week on campus to raise awareness about domestic violence to UTPA students and faculty.

Just because the week was over, doesn’t mean that Greeks stop their community service. Sigma Lambda Beta kicked off the weekend by volunteering at the RGV Food Bank on Saturday morning

I am so proud of all my fellow Greeks who have been working so hard throughout the semester by giving back to the community.
