When there is a specific demand at The University of Texas-Pan American, officials like Lydia Aleman and Jane Lemaster know exactly how to satisfy it.

After over two years of writing and “refinement,” the duo has landed a one-time $150,000 grant from AT&T. The check was presented last week to the university’s Center for Online Learning, Teaching and Technology.

“This will help upgrade our current online learning management and systems,” said LeMaster, executive director for COLTT. “But doing this requires planning.”

It will take a year before current technology is tweaked-up, revamped and implemented.
